The selection principle of stamping die material

In the case of small batch, the performance requirements of materials are reduced to reduce costs.

2. by the stamping material, performance, the use of mould parts, when the stamping material is hard or the deformation resistance is bigger, the punch and concave die select the material with good wear resistance and high strength. Aluminum bronze concave die can be used when drawing stainless steel, because it has better adhesion resistance. The guide bushing requires abrasion resistance and good toughness, so the low carbon steel surface is often carburized and quenched. For example, the main shortage of carbon tool steel is poor hardenability. When the section size of the die parts is large, its central hardness is still low after quenching, but when it works on a press with a large number of travel times, it becomes the advantage because of its good impact resistance. For fixed plate and unloading plate parts, not only have enough strength, but also require small deformation during the working process. In addition, cold treatment and cryogenic treatment, vacuum treatment and surface hardening can also be used to improve the performance of die parts. For the cold extrusion die with poor working conditions of convex and concave die, the die steel with sufficient hardness, strength, toughness, wear resistance and so on is selected. At the same time, it has certain red hardness and thermal fatigue strength.
